The After School Program is a family centered program that nurtures the whole child by inspiring academic success, healthy movement, and social and emotional development. We believe our kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. It makes for confident kids today & contributing and engaged adults tomorrow. Our program is licensed by The Department of early education and Care.
Please read the descriptions closely to ensure you fill out the correct packet. The top link is for all families to register into afterschool program grades K-5th. With this packet you can also sign up for Kindergarten Orientation days. The bottom link is if you would like to only sign up for a spot for Kindergarten Orientation week Sept. 3-13, 12-3pm, thank you!
Enrollment packet for school year including Kindergarten orientationPlease note that enrollment packets will be numbered upon receipt and families will be registered on a first come first serve basis. You are not guaranteed the days that you select in the registration packet. Each family will receive an email once they are registered confirming program days.
After School Program runs Monday through Friday, from school dismissal until 6:00pm. Registration for the program requires a commitment of at least 3-days. You can register for as few as 3 days a week or as many as 5 days. Please complete the ASP Enrollment packet and email to jpowell@ymcamv.org

RATES
We have partnered with Island Grown to bring free and healthy meals to all children on the Island. We will be receiving premade frozen meals every Wednesday. Meat and vegetarian options are available. We are excited for this partnership and can't wait to see where it takes us. For more information please contact Jessey at jpowell@ymcamv.org
Bussing is available from school to the Y. Please contact your child's teacher about taking the bus to the Y once you are registered in the program!
Snack will be provided by the Y in the afternoon.
We have a calendar of activities that encourage creativity and provide new experiences that teach important lessons about community, character building, nutrition, and much more.
Our curriculum incorporates activities that teach children about the world around us, including learning about helping out and giving back.
Fun physical challenges and large motor and team building activities, keep students fit and healthy each day, setting them on a path to: developing healthy habits for life, reducing anxiety and stress, boosting self-esteem. Children participate in physical fitness activities each day, including swimming, basketball, large group games, Yoga, Zumba, and more!
